Ca l'Esteve self catering accommodation in the village of Gósol, at the heart of ideal walking,  climbing and biking country.

Relax by the fire with a  good book or sip a beer in the garden after a day in the hills.

Pedraforca, Ensija, Cadí, El Verd and much are all within range

Ca l'Esteve is fairly typical of houses in Gósol, with an enclosed yard and buildings on three sides. The yard is now a garden in which to relax, cook on the barbecue, or enjoy a drink after a long walk in the mountains.

Bedrock still peeks through the lawn, a curious feature in what could otherwise be the 18th green of a well manicured golf course, with the 19th hole close by.

The original house still stands, with its low ceilings, wooden beams, creaky floors, upstairs fireplace and all the incommodity associated with life in a small mountain village - draughts, insects and spiders, dust and more.

The self catering accommodation has only the odd insect to contend with, being of another age and with better insulation! It has access to the garden from upstairs, and to the street via the downstairs entrance.

At Ca l'Esteve we use wood from the surrounding forests to heat the house. The stove is very efficient and capable of heating all the rooms, but radiators may also be used when the temperature drops below zero. Burning local wood reduces the need to transport often poor quality timber

Ca l'Esteve is quite basic but meets most needs. The garden has a purpose built barbecue, table and chairs.

Charcoal and wood to start the fire are provided.

The garden is intended for relaxing and can be enjoyed all year round - depending on the weather. In winter, the midday sun can be very warm, making outdoor eating a pleasure.

The bathroom has a washhand basin , large shower, separate toilet. Soap and towels are provided.

The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave-grill-oven, large fridge, coffeemaker and toaster plus pots and pans, plates and cutlery etc.

Kitchen dining area- the open plan kitchen and dining area  means you are never cut off from the conversation

Two bedrooms each with two single beds. For families or for informal groups the capacity of the bedrooms can be doubled. Bed linen and quilts are provided and extra blankets can be found in the rooms for those accustomed to warmer climes.
